After Your Chemical Peel
Recovery after your chemical peel will depend on the peel used for your treatment. Your skin specialist at Virginia Surgical Arts will provide you with detailed care instructions once your chemical peel is complete. Given the nature of the treatment, you will experience some redness and peeling of the skin.
The peeling/flaking process may last up to a couple of weeks. Once the outer layer of skin has been removed, you will notice softer, younger-looking skin.
